Michael Preminger's biography at I Love A Good Story
Born in the Bronx, Mike began his stand-up comedy career at the famous Improvisation in New York. His many television appearances include "The Tonight Show," "The Merv Griffin Show," "The Mike Douglas Show," "The Dinah Shore Show," and "The Dean Martin Summer Show."
Mike has performed all over the country in nightclubs and concert venues as a headliner and as an opening act for, among others, Connie Stevens, The Four Tops, Jose Feliciano, The Temptations, the Pointer Sisters, Neil Sedaka and Blood, Sweat and Tears.
With his screenplay and TV writing partner, Rick Podell, Mike wrote the critical and commercial hit "Nothing In Common," starring Tom Hanks, Jackie Gleason and Eva Marie Saint. Mike and Rick also wrote a number of TV movies, including a biopic of Jackie Gleason.
Mike continues to write (short stories and humorous essays) and perform (recent appearances include Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe).
Among Mike's many hobbies are trying on hats and ending relationships with women he's never met.
